Saturday 14th September - walks *** – Landguard Curcuit –
sunny.
I didn’t think there would be any wind today so we had a morning at home,
I managed my exercises in a sunny, warm back garden while Mag picks the
last of her tomatoes with the plants now in the compost bin! I then repair
my carbon boom and mast base, then put my two new Starboard foils together,
they are looking good, cant wait to use them! We are out tomorrow to
celebrate Mags birthday a day early with Dan. Jay and Maeva with a picnic
at Holywells park, as we needed to get food for it we had to go to Lidl, so
I packed a picnic and we drove down to The Manor end for a walk around
Landguard Nature Reserve and was surprised by the good breeze from the SSW!
We ambled across the reserve to the River Orwell with several yachts making
the most of the sunshine and a very sailable breeze! We sat at our usual
spot on the old jetty to enjoy lunch with definitely a good breeze in our
face, a tad frustrating as it was perfect 6.5 foiling conditions with the
sea super smooth due to it being low water,, never mind can’t win them
all! After lunch we walk along the very quiet Landguard beach looking
particularly good with the tide out:) We meet Simon C just about to have a
short wing during his lunch break and onto Lidl for a big shop! Home to
sort out the food before I have another walk around town coming out at the
cliff top and spot Al Wizz out at The Manor on his fin board!
